Hi, I’m John Negoita, the creator of Nickname-Generator.net.
Like many of you, I practically grew up on the internet. My love for online communities started in the golden era of multiplayer lobbies, MMORPGs, and late-night Discord calls. In those spaces, your real name doesn't matter. Your nickname is your legacy.
I realized early on how frustrating the naming process can be. You finally think of an epic gamertag, only to find out it’s already taken. Or worse, you rush the process and end up stuck with a name you regret 50 levels later. A great nickname dictates how others perceive you—it sets the tone before your character even speaks or makes a move.
In 2021, I combined my passion for coding with my deep roots in gaming culture to launch this website. I wanted to build a tool that didn't just spit out random letters, but actually generated names with rhythm, meaning, and a sense of belonging to specific games and genres.
